As most of you are aware, RES the windfarm developer and the Dunecht Estates have submitted a proposal to build a windfarm on the Hill of Fare consisting of 16 turbines of around 200m tall. This will have a massive impact on those living on and around the hill and those along the power export route.
Since our last public meetings, much has happened. HOFWIG has written a detailed analysis of the proposed development and commissioned professional planning and landscape reports, all of which have been delivered to the ECU and Aberdeenshire Council. In response to our call to action, around 1500 people have submitted objections. Thanks to all of you who have supported the campaign financially. For an update and to find out the latest information about the proposed development, please come along to hear from HOFWIG members and ask any questions you may have.
