The Hill of Fare wind farm public inquiry will be held at Banchory Town Hall, with the inquiry sessions beginning on September 1st, 2025 and running through to September 13th, 2025. The inquiry is a public event where community councils, residents, and campaigners can share their views and evidence on the proposed wind farm.

The timetable is as follows: 

Tuesday – Wednesday  2nd – 3rd    cultural heritage (inquiry)
Thursday – Friday  4th – 5th             landscape and visual impact (inquiry) 
Monday evening   8th                       community hearing (hearing)
Tuesday  9th                                     energy and planning policy (hearing)
Wednesday  10th                             conditions (hearing)
Thursday  11th                                 reserved for overrun

each day runs 10:00 until 16:00
Monday evening 18:30 until 21:30


Previous Dates

  • Deadline September 16th for proposed locations for sound monitoring and visual mock-up of turbines from key local viewpoints. To comment, email RES and cc the community council 
  • Early October 2022 RES public consultations will commence to gain public opinion. Keep an eye on the RES website and the community council website for exact dates. (SEE BELOW)
  • April 2023 RES anticipated planning application submission date.
