Before the inquiry begins, a\u00a0<strong>Pre-Examination Meeting (PEM)<\/strong>\u00a0is scheduled for\u00a0<strong>April 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM<\/strong> <strong>in Banchory Town Hall<\/strong>, and it will be webcast for public viewing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-regular-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">But what is the PEM, and why should you care?\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-larger-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">What is the Pre-Examination Meeting?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-regular-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The PEM is a procedural meeting organized by the Scottish Government\u2019s Planning and Environmental Appeals Division (DPEA). It\u2019s not about debating the wind farm itself but about setting the stage for a fair and organized inquiry. During the PEM, key details are discussed, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-regular-font-size\">The scope of issues to be examined, such as landscape impacts, cultural heritage, and water supply concerns.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-regular-font-size\">The timetable for submitting evidence and statements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-regular-font-size\">The format of the inquiry, including hearings and public participation options.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-regular-font-size\">How community voices, like those of the Hill of Fare Windfarm Impact Group (HoFWIG), will be heard.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-regular-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Think of the PEM as the blueprint for the PLI, ensuring everything runs smoothly and transparently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-larger-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Why Should You Attend?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-regular-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The Hill of Fare Windfarm proposal has sparked significant concern, with over 1,700 objections and opposition from six community councils.
