I guess that depends on your point of view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So we thought we&#8217;d see what they might look like from the point of view of Edinburgh.  Well &#8230; what a stunning addition this would be to the Edinburgh skyline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was so moved by this vision that I wrote a short poem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-larger-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Windfarm on Holyrood<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The wind turbines of Holyrood,<br>seventeen tall and strong,<br>stand proud o&#8217;er Arthur&#8217;s Seat,<br>where the wind sings its song.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The blades turn in the breeze,<br>capture the power of the air,<br>providing clean energy,<br>for Edinburgh&#8217;s people to share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The turbines are a sight to see,<br>their white blades spinning round,<br>like a giant&#8217;s pinwheel,<br>rising from the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The turbines are a symbol,<br>a sign of change to come,<br>to a future of clean energy,<br>where the sky is free from smog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The wind turbines of Holyrood,<br>provide a glimpse of what may be,<br>a future of renewable energy,<br>for Edinburgh to see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"341\" src=\"https:\/\/hilloffare.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/windfarm-over-holyrood-1024x341.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-416\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hilloffare.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/windfarm-over-holyrood-1024x341.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/hilloffare.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/windfarm-over-holyrood-300x100.jpg 300w, https:\/\/hilloffare.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/windfarm-over-holyrood-768x256.jpg 768w, https:\/\/hilloffare.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/windfarm-over-holyrood-1536x512.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/hilloffare.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/windfarm-over-holyrood-2048x683.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Some people think wind turbines can be strangely attractive, and provide a beacon of hope through the application of technology.
