This varied terrain, selection of peaks and proximity to Banchory make the Hill of Fare mtb trails a popular spot for riders looking for a challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Testament to the challenges presented by Hill of Fare, is its inclusion in the Aberdeenshire Enduro Series competition. Check out our&nbsp;mountain bike enduros&nbsp;page to see the events planned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are over 57 kms of trail to explore. Overall you can expect 17 access road type trails, 4 blue, 11 red, and 5 black graded trails. These are spread over the six predominant peaks of Meikle Tap (height 359m), Greymore (393m), Blackyduds (343m), Graigrath (436m), Tornamean (458m) and Hill of Fare at a height of 471m. So definitely worth a visit if you like climbing and rapid descents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hill of Fare MTB Trails Descriptions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2019 there has been Forestry work going on at HOF. This has resulted in some trails being temporarily closed, and unfortunately some trails have been impacted by the work. Both Spaniels Lugs and My Little Pony have been trashed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Below is an introduction to some of the more popular trails, but there are loads more so get out there and explore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">DoonThaBrae<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The most accesible trail from Sunhoney car park.<br>A&nbsp;RED&nbsp;trail named in honor of its inclusion in the Doon tha Brae enduro.&nbsp;<br>Trail Stats:<br>Length ~ 400m,<br>Altitude drop ~ 59m,<br>Average gradient ~ -15%<br>Leave the car park on the access track and when it splits take the left.
